What is Point Five Town Hall?
Basically, Point Five Town Hall is a Town Hall which doesn’t have any defensive buildings that the current Town Hall offers . Focus is on upgrading your troops before working on your defenses.
The main purpose of becoming a point five town hall is to benefit your team in war. If you are a TH8.5 then in matchmaking, you will be “weighted” like a little bit above a maxed town hall 8, while you will have the full capability of attacking as a town hall 9.
How to build point five base?
When you reach a new Town Hall buy everything except any new defense buildings, walls and don’t upgrade your existing Walls. You can upgrade all your existing defensive buildings, Troops, Army Camps, Spell Factory, Clan Castle, Laboratory Barbarian King and Archer Queen to their max level of that Town Hall.
Note : Don’t upgrade existing walls to their maxed level or they will affect a lot to this strategy.
Upgrade order
ASAP Upgrades
- Build all traps and new walls (Don’t up walls to current TH level).
- Upgrade Clan Castle. (for TH8/9/10)
- Upgrade Laboratory.
- Upgrade Spell Factory. (for TH9/10)
- Upgrade Dark Spell Factory. (for TH8/9/10)
- Build Barbarian King. (for TH8)
- Build Archer Queen (for TH9)
- Upgrade Army Camps (for TH9/10)
Next Upgrades
- Dark Barrack (To unlock Lava)
- Storage
- Dark drills
- Collectors and Mines.
- Barracks.
Note : For TH9 up dark barracks ASAP to unlock Lava.
Defense Upgrades
Defenses are weighted roughly in the order that they are unlocked. Meaning, a cannon falls at the bottom of the weight spectrum while the Eagal Artillery weighs at the top. Up your existing defenses in that order but always give more priority to defenses that can hit both air and ground.
Recommended order of upgrade:
1. Tesla (Buy new Telsa also if available)
2. Air Defense (Buy new Air Defense also if available)
3. Air Sweeper (Buy new air Sweeper also if available)
4. Archer Tower
5. Cannons
6. Wizard Tower
7. Bomb Tower
8. Mortar.
Note : Due to recent changes in game max Tesla, Air Defense and Air Sweeper ASAP.
Remember : As a point five base you don’t build X-Bow/Infarno/Eagal Artillery or any new defense buildings except (Tesla, Air Defense and Air Sweeper) that are available for buy in shop.
Transition from Point Five base to a Proper base
After all offensive upgrades are completed and you have nearly maxed your hero(s), up defenses in this order.
1. Archer Tower
2. Cannons
3. Wizard Tower
4. Bomb Tower
5. Mortar.
6. X-Bow
7. Infarno
8. Eagal Artillery
Conclusion:
By being a Point Five base you are immuned from the down sides of a new Town Hall player. Your weight remains more or less same like before and you work on to get new troop and troops level that the new Town Hall offers.
